Die Antwoord: South Africa’s best, new, white Zulu-rap band
I had to do some digging before I could even figure out what the accent was (my first guess was they were first gen Ukrainian immigrants to Manchester). Turns out it’s a band called Die Antwoord, which is Afrikaans for ‘the answer.’ Q: answer to what?
A: whatever man.They have an awesome website and a great look. Their album drops sometime this February. An American tour might be too much to ask, but they’ve given us some satisfying gems on the ‘interweb’ (their words not mine). So why can’t Die Antwoord be the answer to the question, who is the best band of 2010? Ninja:
